Remodel Plumbing Is Closer to New Construction Than to Service Work
Moving a shower or relocating a kitchen sink means working out drainage falls, venting and supply routing inside an existing structure — which is new construction thinking applied to a house that is already built. That is the work this company has done for most of its history. Doug has plumbed thousands of homes across this valley from the ground up, including large tract subdivisions and custom builds, and remodel work draws on exactly that.
Getting the Sequencing Right
On a remodel the plumber is not working alone. Rough-in has to happen before walls close, and trim-out after the finishes go in. Turning up at the wrong point in the schedule holds up everybody else on the job. Having spent decades on construction sites, we understand where we fit in the sequence and we will work to your contractor's programme rather than against it.
Worth Sorting Out While the Walls Are Open
A remodel is the cheapest opportunity you will ever have to deal with plumbing you would otherwise leave alone — an old supply line you have had trouble with, a gas line that needs upsizing for a new range, or the groundwork for a tankless water heater. Doing it while things are already open costs a fraction of doing it later. We will point out what is worth including, and equally what is not.
How We Work
Call or send the form and we will talk it through. Estimates are free. If we need to come out and diagnose on site, our service call is $145. We work Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 4:00pm. Doug Adair has run this company since 1978, and he still goes out on jobs himself. You get a straight assessment of what your home actually needs — not a list of extras someone was trained to sell you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you work with my contractor?
Yes. We have spent decades on construction sites and we understand where plumbing fits in the sequence.
Can you move a sink, toilet or shower?
Yes, though how involved it is depends on drainage falls and venting. We will tell you what is straightforward and what is not before you commit to a layout.
Should I upgrade anything while the walls are open?
Often, yes — that is the cheapest time to do it. We will tell you what is genuinely worth including and what can wait.
Do you do the gas line for a new range?
Yes, including upsizing an existing line where the new appliance needs more supply.
